Pierwszy werbista wyświęcony w Rosji

29 listopada 2008 roku nasz wspólbrat Valentin Nazarenkov przyjął święcenia kapłańskie z rąk arcybiskupa moskiewskiego Pawła Pezzi. Uroczystość odbyła się w kościele parafialnym p.w. św. Katarzyny w Sankt Petersburgu.

On November 29th, 2008, in St. Catherine's Church in St.
Petersburg, an ordination to the priesthood took place- a Divine
Word missionary, Deacon Valentin Nazarenkov SVD, received the
holy orders. Archbishop Pavel Pezzi, ordinary of Moscow's
Archdiocese of Our Lady, was the ordaining prelate. It was a
historic event for the local SVD community for it happened for
the first time that a native Russian SVD was ordained to the
priesthood in Russia.

Fr. Valentin comes from Moscow. He joined the Society of the
Divine Word in 2000. He studied in Our Lady-Queen of the
Apostles' Interdiocesan Seminary in St. Petersburg. He has been
assigned to work in the parish in Baranovici, Belarus.
